 | ECO-SECURITY : safety, operationnal availibility and fuel consomption optimization | | Objective : to develop a on board system to help Master in decision making
- to improve safety regarding structural risk
- to increase ship operational availibility
- to minimize consumption of fuel |
|
System will be used :
- at quay, to optimize the choice of the route plan (speed, course, distance) and of the ballast plan based on the forecasted oceano-meteorological conditions to minimize the consumption of fuel and the stability risk and fatigue loads (Risk management)
- at sea, active supervision of the consumption and of safety keys parameters (stability, fatigue loads, vibration levels) and adjustment of the route plan (speed, cape, distance) and the ballasting plan

 | SHARP : Ship Hazardous Agression Research Program | | Objective : to develop an engineering software to evaluate ultimate strength after accidental event such as collision, explosition, ... |
|
 | VIRTUE : the Virtuel Tank Utility in Europe | | Objective : to improve and to integrate state-of-the-art CFD tools in a comprehensive simulation environment of ship behaviour at sea aiming to complement real test basins in the provision of marine hydrodynamic services. |
|
 | SAFEGUARD : Modelling and Simulating Crowd Movement onboard Ships | | Objective : to collect human performance data in full scale ship trials and use this to provide calibration and validation data for ship based evacuation models and to also propose and investigate additional benchmark scenarios to be used in certification analysis. |
|
 | SOS Stability : To improve safety of small fishing ships | | Objective :to develop a onboard system that will be installed on fishing boats (from 12m to 24m length) to improve dynamic stability in severe seas taking account fuel comsumption and crew behavior. |
