Our scope of services for SURF activities covers the following items:

• Pre-project and feasibility studies,
• Design and FEED studies,

• Expertise in hydrodynamics, vortex induced vibrations; structure in any type of risers systems,

As an independent company, we propose the most suitable and cost effective solutions to our clients. Principia has been involved in SURF projects covering a full range of risers and pipelines:

• Production risers : bounded and unbounded flexible risers, Steel Catenary Risers, single top tensioned riser concept, bundle top tensioned riser concepts
• Pipelines : Pipe-In-Pipe, wet or dry insulation, shallow (concrete coating) or deepwater
• Oil export systems : TrellineTM, U or W-shape steel pipe; hybrid systems
• Drilling risers : Marine riser or HP riser for Surface BOP concept
• Umbilicals including Fiber Optical Umbilical and jumpers
• Coiled tubing feasibility studies
• Floating hoses studies

Our SURF design activities are backed by a team of skilled engineers with experience in oil and gas projects gained through cooperation with main design and installation contractors.

Principia uses state of the art proprietary software such as DeepLines™ and Diodore™ NSO-FASTRUDL™, and ISYMOST™ (marketed and developed by Principia) or ABAQUS ™.
